Hugues
H. Boisvert, Board Chair,
President
Hugues is the visionary of the YBN-NC. He is a corporate lawyer
practicing in Ottawa and President of Hazlo Group consulting firm.
He has worked at the internationally recognized law firm, Crivelli,
Grosso & Gorbato, located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Hugues
is a member of the Ontario Bar, and holds a civil law degree (LL.L.)
from the University of Ottawa and a bachelor in common law (LL.B.)
from the University of Moncton, New Brunswick. He serves on a
variety of corporate, charitable and community boards, is a guest
speaker at Ottawa University School of Management, and is fluent
in French, English and Spanish.

Peter
Kucherepa, Board Member, Corporate Secretary
As
a
founding member of the YBN-NC, Peter focuses upon professional development
activities. Peter is Barrister and Solicitor in criminal, civil and
international law. He articled at the United Nations Convention on
International Trade Law in Vienna, Austria and was admitted to the
Ontario Bar. Peter holds an business degree (sum cum laude) from Ivey
School of Business, University of Western Ontario, worked at the Organization
of American States Secretariat in Washington D.C., and the Philippines
Chamber of Commerce in Manila. Peter regularly publishes articles
on international legal issues.
Nadia Effendi,
Board Member
Nadia Effendi, a founding member of the YBN-NC, leads membership
activities. She is a litigation lawyer, specialized in public law
and labour and employment law, at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Ottawa.
She clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada and was admitted to the
Ontario Bar and the New Brunswick Bar in 2006. She received her Bachelor
of Laws (summa cum laude) from the University of Ottawa and was the
recipient of the Stikeman Elliott Prize, the Brown & Evans Book
Prize (highest standing in Administrative Law), the Osgoode Society
(for Canadian Legal History), the George W. Ainslie Memorial Prize,
and the University Gold Medal. Nadia is fluently bilingual and practices
law in both official languages.
Denis Campeau, Board Member
Denis’ objective is to get the YBN-NC members involved in local
community activities. He presently works at Alcatel-Lucent negotiating
customer contracts with managers in America, Europe and Asia. He co-founded
a small Internet company, and has managed multimillion high-tech industry
projects. Denis holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and an
Executive MBA from the University of Ottawa. He has received specialized
training in business networking, product quality, and project management.
Denis, fluent in both English and French, is commonly featured on
the CBC, local newspapers and universities.
Andrew Thake, Board Member
Andrew, a founding member of the YBN-NC, is instrumental in event
organization and execution. Andrew is an Account Manager at RBC Royal
Bank in Ottawa. Prior to this posting he lead management projects
as a Program Manager with Parks Canada. Andrew has successfully completed
his Canadian Securities Course. Andrew holds Bachelor of Commerce
and a Certificate in Human Resources (Dean’s Honors List) from
Saint Mary’s University. He is fluent in American Sign Language.
Greg C. Matthews, Board Member
Greg ensures support and execution of YBN-NC events. Greg is an Account
Manager at RBC Royal Bank in Ottawa. His industry experience includes
aerospace, manufacturing, government, website design small business
management and information technology. Greg is completing a Bachelor
of the Arts degree at the University of Ottawa and is enrolled in
an MBA program. Greg is fluent in English and is developing his French
language skills. He is enthusiastic about developing and creating
networking opportunities in the National Capital Region.
